Founded in 1990, Summer Search is a national youth development non-profit organization with sites in seven cities across the country. Their mission is to help low-income teenagers transform what they believe is possible for themselves and develop the skills they need to become college-educated leaders who give back to their families and communities. For too many low-income kids, potential is snuffed out by the demands of just getting by. Only 50% graduate from high school and just 10% earn a college degree. Thanks to Summer Search's one-of-a-kind program, these numbers improve dramatically, as 99% of Summer Searchers graduate high school and 78% have earned a college degree or are on track to do so.
We help raise awareness and financial support for Summer Search through our Annual JMC Golf Tournament, which will take place on a date TBD at Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley, NY. Each Sponsorship Package of the tournament provides a full year of Summer Search programming for a NYC high school sophomore.
