Jean-Marie Painvin
Jean-Marie Painvin is Founder and CEO of JMC Family Office since 2012 and acted previously as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Deutsch Group, the world leader in high-performance connectors with a presence in more than 25 countries and over 3.500 employees. In 2011, Deutsch Group achieved sales of around $680m.
Jean-Marie was instrumental in growing Deutsch into the world-class and global business that it is today. He integrated three largely autonomous companies into one worldwide company, expanding overseas and developing a blue-chip client base, as well as successfully navigating through the economic turmoil following the 2008 financial crisis. In April 2012, nearly six years after the successful sale of the Deutsch Group to Wendel, Deutsch was sold for $2.1 billion to TE Connectivity.
Jean-Marie graduated from Rice University, receiving a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He serves as a director on various boards, including Parrot SA; JMC Family Office; Ode à La Rose, a same day delivery florist in the North East of United States; Amerequip, a custom equipment manufacturer in Kiehl, WI; and Summer Search, a US philanthropic organization working with low-income high school students for the last 25 years.
Jean-Marie is a keen golfer and is a member of Piping Rock Golf and Country Club in New York, Morfontaine in Paris, & Manville in Maussane-les-Alpilles.
Jean-Marie lives in New York City with his wife Carlota and has 6 children and 5 grandchildren.

Tom Sadusky
With more than 30 years of experience in private industry (Deutsch, Parker Hannifin) and public accounting, Tom Sadusky brings exceptionally broad financial and operational expertise to JMC.
His past achievements include leading roles in merger & acquisition activity including deal negotiation, diligence, and operational integration.
Tom is skilled at all aspects of growing a business. From financial review and planning to the development and implementation of operational policies and controls, including HR, IT, global sourcing and internal audit processes. He also successfully established a start-up manufacturing operation in India.
He holds an MBA in Management from Hofstra University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University and was a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. His greatest passion in life is his family.

Emily Kochanowicz
Emily has been with JMC Investment since it was founded in 2012 and serves on numerous boards for the family office. In addition to advising our portfolio companies, she works with the team to review potential new investments. Emily brings valuable strategic and financial expertise to the team, having worked at an operating company and in investment banking.
Previously, Emily led the M&A efforts of the Deutsch Group as the Director of Corporate Development.
Prior to working with Deutsch, Emily advised private, public, and private equity clients at Houlihan Lokey. She advised on buy-side, sell-side, financing, transatlantic, and distressed transactions. She focused primarily on the automotive, aerospace and defense industries.
Emily graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Economics and International Relations.
She is fluent in English and French, speaks basic Mandarin Chinese, and enjoys traveling with her family in her spare time.

John Bagge
John joined JMC in February 2022. He is responsible for sourcing and executing direct investments. In addition, he leads efforts to expand JMC’s co-investment relationships.
John brings eight years of transaction experience advising, underwriting and structuring both debt and equity investments. Most recently, John was a member of Hilco Global’s asset based lending advisory group.
John graduated from Hillsdale College with a degree in finance. A former college basketball player, he is now an avid runner and cyclist and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors in his free time.

Sebastien Labarre
Sebastien joined JMC in May 2016 and currently serves as VP of Finance. He oversees internal finance, operations, portfolio monitoring, and strategic initiatives, with a focus on private equity and diversified alternative investments, and leads efforts to streamline reporting and automate workflows across the firm.
Prior to JMC, Sebastien spent five years in China, gaining international business experience. He holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Chinese from Trinity University.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the gardens of New Jersey.

Gregoire Painvin
Gregoire rejoined JMC in 2025, to oversee and manage the family office’s liquid portfolios and alternative investments. He brings over 20 years of asset management experience, with knowledge in all aspects of the business, from research and analysis, distribution and marketing, fund administration and operations, to the creation and management of customized portfolios.
Previously, Gregoire held several positions within the ABN AMRO Group in Chicago, New York and Paris, serving primarily as a research analyst covering US equity funds, before his entrepreneurial spirit helped him co-found his own asset management company and, most recently, Alpine Hill Advisors, an independent Registered Investment Advisor, where he was the CIO and Chief Compliance Officer.
Gregoire holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris. He now enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with his wife and son outside Boulder, Colorado.


Morgan Painvin
Morgan serves as Foundation Advisor, helping guide the JMC Family Foundation’s strategic direction and philanthropic priorities. She ensures resources are aligned with the Foundation’s values and deployed to create measurable, long-term impact, drawing on deep experience in development, strategy, and organizational management.
Previously, Morgan served on the executive committee at QUINN, a global integrated communications agency, where she focused on business development, talent management, and growth-driving campaigns that delivered meaningful results for clients. Her work has spanned the nonprofit, travel, luxury, and lifestyle sectors.
Deeply committed to philanthropy, Morgan has long supported underserved communities through hands-on initiatives as well, including serving rural elderly communities, building homes in Rwanda, organizing supply drives at the onset of the Ukraine–Russia war, assisting refugees in France with job placement and supporting homeless families.
Morgan holds a BA in Global Communications from the American University of Paris. She is fluent in English and French and enjoys traveling with her husband and four children.

Thomas Sadusky
Growing up on Long Island, Thomas attended Long Island University where he earned his bachelors degree in Accounting.
Prior to joining the JMC Family Office team, Thomas worked as a business manager for nearly a decade providing financial and accounting services to high-net-worth individuals and their respective businesses.
After living in NYC for 11 years, Thomas recently made the move to suburbia and currently resides in Westchester. When Thomas isn’t working you will find him traveling, golfing or dining at one of New York’s premier restaurants.


Erika Marte, PhD
Erika serves as Director of the JMC Family Foundation, helping guide the Foundation’s grantmaking, partner engagement, and strategic development. She brings over a decade of experience across education, nonprofit leadership, research, and youth-serving programs, with a focus on expanding opportunity for under-resourced students, families, and communities.
Prior to joining JMC, Erika held senior leadership roles at a Bronx-based nonprofit organization, where she oversaw multiple city- and foundation-funded programs and stewarded a multimillion-dollar portfolio. Her work spanned strategic planning, program evaluation, budget oversight, and advising senior leadership and boards. Having spent much of her career on the grantee side, Erika brings a practitioner’s perspective to philanthropy, grounded in trust-based partnership, shared accountability, and long-term impact.
Erika holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and an MA in Educational Leadership from New York University, as well as a BA from Hamilton College. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member, teaching courses focused on education, race, and social inequality.


Jackie Sauer
Jackie joined JMC in September 2025 as a member of the Direct Investment team, where she is involved in all stages of the deal process — from sourcing and diligence to execution and portfolio support.
Before joining JMC, Jackie was on the Principal Investors and Private Equity team at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In this role, she advised private equity clients across a range of industries, focusing on commercial due diligence, market entry, and value creation strategies.
Jackie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. During her time there, she played on the club lacrosse team and served as President of the Global Research and Consulting Group, a student-run organization providing strategic advisory to nonprofits and social impact startups.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys traveling and staying active.


Frédéric Kleindienst
Prior to joining JMC Frédéric had extensive experience in managing mid/small size industrial companies operating on worldwide markets in which he has developed change management and continuous improvement programs to optimize operations.
He also has functional expertise in HR, Quality and Lean management acquired within Deutsch Group.
His industry knowledge covers Oil & Gas, Aeronautics, Railway and Construction.
Frédéric lived in the US (New York and Houston) for more than 5 years and now resides with his family in Paris.
He graduated from Ecole des Mines de Douai and holds an executive MBA from Edhec Business School.
