Gregory Jannin, Ph.D.

Operations Manager, JMC Asset Management

Gregory joined JMC Asset Management in December 2014 to deepen the capabilities of the Firm and develop portfolio management and risk control tools.

Prior to joining JMCAM, Gregory was a quantitative research analyst within AAAdvisors-QCG (ABN AMRO Group) since December 2008, where he was in charge of developing asset allocation models, portfolio optimization strategies, and financial decision-making tools for portfolio managers, as well as private and institutional clients. Gregory was also a Teaching Assistant in Finance at the University of Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne) since November 2009. He has published articles in academic journals, such as Review of International Economics and Journal of Economic Surveys. His research interests are performance measurement, portfolio management, asset allocation and Prospect Theory.

Gregory graduated with a M.Sc. in Finance, a M.Sc. in Financial Engineering, a M.Phil. in Quantitative and Market Finance and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne).


Frédéric Kleindienst

Managing Director, JMC Europe

Prior to joining JMC Frederic had extensive experience in managing mid/small size industrial companies operating on worldwide markets in which he has developed change management and continuous improvement programs to optimize operations.

He also has functional expertise in HR, Quality and Lean management acquired within Deutsch Group.

His industry knowledge covers Oil & Gas, Aeronautics, Railway and Construction.

Frédéric lived in the US (New York and Houston) for more than 5 years and now resides with his family in Paris.

He graduated from Ecole des Mines de Douai and holds an executive MBA from Edhec Business School.

Emily Kochanowicz

Director of Investments, JMC Investment

With ten years of investment banking and corporate development experience, Emily brings valuable financial, market and analytical expertise to the team.

Previously, Emily was the Director of Corporate Development for the Deutsch Group, coordinating advisors, performing due diligence and managing strategic reviews.

Prior to working with Deutsch, Emily advised private, public and private equity clients at Houlihan Lokey. She advised on buy-side, sell-side, financing, transatlantic, and distressed transactions. She focused primarily on the automotive, aerospace and defense industries.

Emily graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in International Relations and Economics with honors.

She is fluent in English and French, speaks basic Mandarin Chinese, and enjoys traveling in her spare time.


Sebastien Labarre

Analyst

Sebastien joined JMC in May 2016. He is responsible for due diligence support, market research and financial analysis on deals. In addition he provides research and business support to all of JMC’s portfolio companies.

Prior to JMC, Sebastien spent five years in China, during which he gained international business experience and mastered advanced Mandarin Chinese. While in China he worked for the USA Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai, the online analytics firm Gridsum and later founded an English language training center.

Sebastien holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Bachelors in Economics and Chinese from Trinity University. In his free time he enjoys writing, learning new languages and eating good food.


Arthur Painvin

Director of Philanthropy, JMC Family Office

Arthur brings 10 years of operations experience to JMC Family Investment Office specializing in efficiency improvements, quality control, and merger-integrations.

Most recently, Arthur served as Director of Operations for The Orchard the world’s leading independent music and film distribution company. In this role Arthur oversaw the content distribution department, quality control and KPI reporting. During this time Arthur also successfully led three merger-integrations with competitors doubling the size of the company. Arthur has extensive experience managing teams, system improvements, technology upgrades, and budgeting. Arthur has also led large technology projects, including CRM implementations, overseeing scope and budgeting. 

Arthur has a bi-cultural background having lived half his life in France and the other in the Unites States. He earned a B.S in Management from France's Rouen Management School and a Masters degree from NYU.


Gregoire Painvin

CEO & CIO, JMC Asset Management

Gregoire founded JMC Asset Management in 2012 and serves as its CEO and CIO. His background is rooted in the multi-manager business, specifically on the analysis and selection of equity managers.

Previously, Gregoire was a Principal and the Head of Research of Wanzenberg Partners, since its inception in 2009. As such, Gregoire led the analysis and research process, developed and implemented the company’s US equity fund and also undertook the entire marketing and client servicing effort.

Prior to that, Gregoire held several positions within the ABN AMRO Group in Chicago, New York and Paris, serving primarily as a research analyst covering US equity money managers and investment products.

Gregoire has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. 


Jean-Marie Painvin

Founder and CEO, JMC Investment

Prior to establishing JMC Investment in 2012, Jean-Marie Painvin was Chairman and CEO of Deutsch Group, the world leader in high-performance connectors in a wide range of sectors including civil and military aviation, transport and offshore drilling.

Jean-Marie was instrumental in growing Deutsch into the world-class and global business that it is today. He integrated three largely autonomous companies into one worldwide company, expanding overseas and developing a blue chip client base, as well as successfully navigating through the economic turmoil following the 2008 financial crisis. In April 2012, nearly six years after the successful sale of the Deutsch Group to Wendel, Deutsch was sold for $2.1 billion to TE Connectivity.

Jean-Marie is a graduate of Rice University, with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a board seat at several companies including Parrot SA, Neuflize Monde Sélection, JTI Electrical & Instrumentation, Ode à la Rose and Keosys. Recently Jean-Marie was elected to the Board, and appointed Senior Advisor to the CEO, of SiO2 Medical Products, a supplier of innovative solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.

Jean-Marie lives in New York City with his wife Carlota. He is also an avid sportsman. He is a member of Piping Rock Golf and Country Club in New York and has chaired Gold du Medoc in France. 


Brett Porter

Research Analyst, JMC Asset Management

Brett joined JMC Asset Management (“JMCAM”) in 2017 to support and enhance the Firm’s various research and due diligence efforts.

Prior to joining JMCAM, Brett was a Research Associate at Guggenheim Investment Advisory, a division of Guggenheim Partners. His responsibilities included conducting manager research and recommending a suite of alternative investment strategies across multiple asset classes and geographies. His background also includes operational due diligence and macroeconomic research.

Brett graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance and Banking. He held multiple leadership positions during his collegiate years and was a member of the University’s Investment Fund Management Program.

Vildana Radoncic

Office Manager, JMC Family Office

Vildana joined JMC in November 2013.  She is responsible for internal and external communication, and overall office logistics.  Prior to joining JMC, she was the Executive Assistant to the CFO of the Deutsch Group.

Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Vildana moved to the United States when she was 14 years old.  She is a successful entrepreneur who established and manages a family business of real estate and construction activity.

Vildana holds a BA in International Relations from Wilkes University, PA, and an MBA in International Business, French and Spanish from Saint Peter College, NJ.

Vildana currently lives in New York with her husband and two sons.  When she’s not working, Vildana enjoys outdoor activities.

Tom Sadusky

Managing Director,  JMC Family Office

With more than 30 years of experience in private industry (Deutsch, Parker Hannifin) and public accounting, Tom Sadusky brings exceptionally broad financial and operational expertise to JMC.

His past achievements include leading roles in merger & acquisition activity including deal negotiation, diligence, and operational integration.

Tom is skilled at all aspects of growing a business. From financial review and planning to the development and implementation of operational policies and controls, including HR, IT, global sourcing and internal audit processes. He also successfully established a start-up manufacturing operation in India.

He holds an MBA in Management from Hofstra University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University and was a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. His greatest passion in life is his family.
